Maruti Ciaz beats rivals to be best-selling midsize sedan

When first launched the Ciaz immediately became a popular choice in its class and cemented Maruti as a big player in the sedan space and now continuing the sales growth, the Ciaz is currently the best selling car in its class. In-fact when compared with the January 2017 sales, there has been an increase of more than 20 percent over the same period last year. When compared with rivals the Ciaz is the only one to register growth in sales from last year.

As per January 2017 sales, the Ciaz sold 6530 units and it has been regularly outpacing other cars. Currently with the SHVS diesel being popular, the Ciaz offers the smart hybrid tech which makes it the most efficient car in India. No doubt the odd-even scheme and the launch of the SHVS increased sales of the Ciaz and despite tough competition from SUVs, the Ciaz is the only one to register growth. In terms of competition, the biggest rival to the Ciaz continues to be the Honda City and these two cars currently are close rivals with other midsize sedans being far behind.
