The 2018 Maruti Swift has been in very high demand since its launch in February at the Auto Expo with over 1 lakh bookings recorded. As per CarAndBike, the waiting period for the Swift, which stretches up to nine months in a few cases, will come down.
The first production line at parent company Suzuki’s production facility in Gujarat will start operating at full capacity by the end of this year. This will push total output from the plant up to 2.5 lakh units annually. The increment in production will help Maruti reduce backlogs of the Swift and Baleno.

As per the report, the average number of buyers waiting for a Maruti Suzuki products has come down from 1.25 lakhs to 1.10 lakhs.
