Top 5 Cars Below INR 25 Lakhs to Wait For
Tata Hexa
The replacement for the aging Aria is a vehicle that comes with the best interior and build quality ever seen in a Tata model. Powered by a 2.2 litre, 4 cylinder, turbocharged Varicor diesel engine that produces 156 bhp and 400 Nm of torque, the Tata Hexa functions well as an MPV. It also has multiple drive modes (that Tata refers to as SuperDrive modes), 6 airbags, ESC, a JBL audio system with 10 speakers and much more.
Maruti Ignis
This new hatchback from the most well known car maker in India will be positioned below the Maruti Baleno. Engine options for the Maruti Suzuki Ignis will be the same as that of the Baleno (a 1.2 litre petrol and a 1.3 litre diesel) and it will come with features such as a tablet-like 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, projector headlights with LED daytime running lamps, 15 inch alloys, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, Isofix anchoring points, reverse parking sensors, a rear view camera and much more.
Maruti Swift and Dzire facelift
The Swift is unquestionably one of the most popular cars ever to be sold in India. However, newer cars are coming in all the time and, in response, Maruti Suzuki will be bringing in facelifted and overhauled versions of the Swift hatchback and its compact sedan version, the Swift Dzire. While we are not yet sure of the powertrain details, we do know that it will come with a flat-bottomed multifunction steering wheel, a touchscreen infotainment system, an upgraded instrument binnacle with an integrated MID, and more.
Renault Kaptur
Not to be confused with the small crossover that Renault sells in Europe (spelt with a C), the Renault Kaptur (spelt with a K!) will be brought to India next year. The Kaptur is larger than the version sold in Europe but, the company has scaled back the list of features to keep costs from spiralling upwards. Although unconfirmed, one of the engines that powers the Kaptur could be a 2.0 litre, 4 cylinder petrol motor.
Hyundai Verna
Another hugely popular vehicle that will be receiving an upgrade will be the Hyundai Verna. Revealed at the 2016 Chengdu Auto Show in China three months ago, the new Verna is expected to go on sale in both petrol and diesel guises. Some of the flowing lines of the previous generation Verna have been replaced with straight edges for a more mature, almost European appearance. The car will now have a longer list of features as well.
