Isuzu is in the process of introducing an all-new flagship SUV, the MU-X. The vehicle will replace the MU-7 SUV, which is currently on sale in the country. A brochure of the vehicle leaked ahead of its launch and here is what we know about the SUV now:

Details

Let’s start off with the engine which is on offer in the vehicle. The SUV will be powered by a 3.0 liter, 4-cylimder turbo diesel engine which produces 174 Bhp and 380 Nm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed sequential automatic transmission. For the time being, the MU-X will be offered in only a 4×4 variant, which is the ‘shift on fly’ unit that is seen on the V-Cross too. It will have a company claimed fuel economy of 13.8 kmpl.
In terms of features, the vehicle gets projector head lamps, LED DRLs, 6- way adjustable driver’s seat, climate control, keyless-go system, 7″ touch screen system with 8 speakers, a MID and a 10″ roof mounted DVD entertainment system.
In terms of safety, the car will come with ABS, EBD, TCS, dual airbags and hill assist. The vehicle will sit on 17″ alloy wheels and will feature disc brakes all-around with 300 mm discs up front and 318 mm at the back.
The MU-X is a full size SUV with 3 rows of seating. It will take on the likes of the Trailblazer, Rexton, Endeavour and Fortuner which introduced. However, from the looks of it, it will be priced cheaper than the Fortuner and Endeavour and will be on offer in only a single variant.

When is it coming?

It will be launched on the 11th of May, which is just 2 days away. When launched, it will be on offer in 4 colour options, a white, a brown, a black and silver.
