Top 5 Concept Cars at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show

Pininfarina Fittipaldi EF7

The legendary Emerson Fittipaldi, who won both the Formula1 World Championship and the Indianapolis 500 twice in his glittering career, brought to life his vision of a supercar. Developed in partnership with iconic design studio Pininfarina and German engineering firm HWA AG, the vehicle is called the Fittipaldi EF7 Vision Gran Turismo. Buyers of the car will have exclusivity as only 39 units will be made; and better still, they will be offered the chance of being coached by Fittipaldi himself.

Mercedes-AMG GT Concept

The latest concept version of the Mercedes-AMG GT is a 50th birthday gift from Mercedes to itself; and it looks hot, thanks in part to its new red paint job that glistens like molten metal. Its 4.0 litre, twin turbo V8 is mated to an electric motor mounted in the back to produce a total power output in the ballpark of a blistering 800 hp. With a sub-three-second 0-100 kph time, this new Mercedes-AMG GT concept clearly has the Porsche Panamera in its crosshairs.

Audi Q8 Concept

The Audi Q8 concept is a crossover that has the same underpinnings as the Q7. However, it also lights the way that Audi is headed in terms of its crossovers. The company says that although its sedans and SUVs will continue with their hexagonal front grille, the octagonal grille of the Q8 will be made standard on their future crossovers. Apart from extremely futuristic interiors and space age exteriors, the Q8 e-Tron concept also features a 3.0 litre, 329 hp, turbocharged V6 and an electric motor.

Jaguar I-Pace Concept

After their entry into the realm of SUVs with the F-Pace, Jaguar is now eyeing the electric vehicle segment. The company has displayed the new I-Pace electric concept at the 87th Geneva Motor Show. Painted a ritzy Photon Red, the I-Pace is driven by an approximately 400 hp electric motor that is powered by a 90 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Jaguar also claims that the I-Pace will be able to travel 350km on a single charge, thus putting an end to range anxiety.

Bentley EXP 12 Speed 6e

British luxury car maker Bentley has shown us a car that stands out even in the mad world of concept cars. Called the EXP 12 Speed 6e, it displays elements that will be found in the next Continental GT but, even more interestingly, this car has an all-electric powertrain. Bentley has given it beautiful touches such as a glass centre console, copper details, an OLED infotainment display, fantastic looking headlights and even more fantastic looking tail lamps. This concept also confirms the intentions of Bentley to enter the world of hybrid cars.
